Blank template for a newspaper article on the outsiders

Your Task: Take information from chapter 6 of The Outsiders, and write a newspaper article about the fire at the church.

For English Class, the only thing I am grading is the article itself.

*One main article on Trial By Fire activity. This article should be written in third person point of view. This means you are writing it as though you are a reporter on the scene. Make sure you include all of the important key facts-who, what, where, when, why, and how. You can also include eyewitness accounts, bystander’s thoughts and feelings, quotes, etc. Be creative and use your imagination!

*At least one illustration that would represent the main article.

*It also should include any of the following:

*Other articles, other headlines, name/date of newspaper
*Ads for local businesses help wanted, etc.
*movie times, coupons, car sales, etc.
*Weather, sports, obituaries, cartoons, engagement/birth announcements
*Letters to the editor

***ALL items in your 2-3 page newspaper should reflect back to The Outsiders novel. This means that the correct location, the correct time period, the names of specific people and places should be used so the newspaper is authentic. You can still add other pieces of “made up” information as needed, but make sure the paper reflects something that would connect to the setting and plot events of the novel.
