My experience with Bluebird Care Rutland and Stamford was one of the most pleasant and nice working environment that I felt trough all my years of employments.
Support and guidance from the managers when needed. Very understanding and helpful in difficult times for customers and staff.

6 hours agoWe have used Bluebird in the past and they do have some excellent carers. Unfortunately, this time they suspended service yesterday after the care coordinator took umbrage at my politely pointing out a very real risk of not changing a carer. They unrealistically insisted that I would guarantee not to use a non-abusive term. They have now terminated the service with just over 24 hours notice over a weekend causing a massive safeguarding issue.
The carer needed replacing due to a mismatch in skills vs our care needs. A proper care plan had not been done.

Going to work doesn’t feel like work which is priceless.

4 days agoMy neighbour uses Bluebird.. ALL the staff are brilliant but the new company owners really don’t care about its customers or staff.. my neighbour can not keep the person she has come to rely on because the carer cannot afford to do the job anymore. All financial help for the carers has been removed even though the Bluebird Service in Berks/Bucks keep raising their prices. It’s terrible and heart wrenching! profit profit profit is all the owners seem to want. I know it’s business.. but care is not just business!
Look after your staff so they can look after your customers.

Aug 21, 2024The Customer Care Manager who saw us when we were trying to find care for my elderly father was professional, polite and courteous. She explained to Dad that the care Bluebird provide would be for as little or as much as he wanted. She provided reassurance and treated dad with respect. This meant so much to us. Nothing is too much trouble and she goes above and beyond her duties. If I ever need to make contact the same service is provided. Thank you Kate.

Aug 22, 2024I have used Bluebird Care (Stratford & Warwick) for over 14 years. Their carers are professional and caring and treat you as an individual. I am physically disabled and without this service I would be unable to access medical appointments and leisure activities.

Aug 15, 2024I engaged Bluebird for my 93 year old mother following a spell in hospital. She has recovered so well with the help of her Carers. They turn up at a consistent time, help with her personal care, her meals and at bedtime. I was not expecting my mum to pick up as much as she has, to the point where she can do little things for herself almost as much as before her fall. I can see the delight in her face when her Carers arrive and the increased socialisation has been a key factor in her improvement. Also, any issues and the company is straight on it. I cannot thank Bluebird enough for their help and for getting my mum (and the rest of the family) back on track.

Well where do I begin……
As a ex employee I worked for bluebird Lincoln for exactly a year after the first month I was having to chase my wages every month and I do mean every month
As a carer I gave my heart and sole for the company but they really don’t appreciate the carers at all
I had a meeting with the director Victoria Webber on the 6th August because I’d given my notice I was promised every thing would be ok and give them time.
After 2 weeks I realised I’d made a terrible mistake on staying on
The other carers are lovely to work with as are some of the office staff
I then gave them 2 weeks notice so my final day was the 30th August 2024
Pay day should be the 5th of the month but if it falls on a bank holiday or weekend you have to wait till the next working day.
Over the Xmas period I asked what the rate of pay was and no one could tell me…..
so Thursday 5th September
I waited till 16.30 and emailed the company including the director and had no reply I then messaged the director on her phone her reply was can’t do anything now ….
Spoke to Micheal Bryce (who really does try and help) on Friday also tried to call director she didn’t answer
But got told she can give me £1000 till Monday and the remaining will be on Monday
They haven’t got the money to pay staff .

Aug 7, 2024I was lucky enough to have the Bluebird Domiciliary team visit my Mum for 15 months. In that time every endeavour was made to ensure the same carers visited my Mum. All the ladies were kind, caring and above all very respectful of my Mum and her wishes. I always felt that my wishes were taken seriously and quickly acted on. The team adapted quickly and appropriately to Mum's changing needs, always insuring she was safe and secure in their care. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for high quality, compassionate care for their loved one

Aug 17, 2024Bluebird have provided care for my Father for the last 18 months, since my Mother suddenly passed away in January 2023. It was a particularly stressful time, my Mother had been Dads carer, he has Alzheimer’s. Bluebird provide live in care, usually by the same carer Dilpreet. Dilpreet has cared for Dad and managed him very well. She reassures him and the family that he is in good hands. Dilpreet also keeps Dads home clean and tidy.
Recently my Father suffered a slight stroke, Dilpreet contacted me immediately. He had a stay in hospital followed by respite in a care home but sufficiently recovered to return home on 13 August to the live in care arrangement. The management at the Bluebird care in Ipswich have been very helpful and managed to arrange for Dad to have Dilpreet return to care for him. I was anxious for Dad returning home but Bluebird have been excellent in ensuring his return home has been as smooth as possible. Thank you.

18 reviews Aug 8, 2024Bluebird have been providing daily personal care for my father, who has Alzheimers and Dementia and is in his 90s, for about six years and we continue to be very satisfied with the service and care provided. They are responsive to changes and to suggestions and, where we had minor issues in the past, these have been quickly rectified. Carers' visits are on time or, if not, we are forewarned of any delay (which tends to be minutes, not hours). There is a sense that the carers do actually care about Dad, and they treat him and his property with respect. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bluebird to others in a similar situation.

Aug 5, 2024From the start of our experience, everyone at Bluebird Care, both management and domiciliary care workers demonstrated kindness, compassion and professionalism. They understood our needs and made the process as easy as possible. They always listened and if we needed to change anything they acted on it immediately. If we needed to speak to them, they were always available and gave their time to listen and talk. The care workers were always energetic, cheerful and kind and nothing was too much trouble. Blue Bird Care provides a bespoke service and we felt that they genuinely cared. The care note daily updates are particularly useful in checking on how your loved one is doing.

Aug 9, 2024My experience has been great due to the massive support I got from both the office and colleagues.
There is also rapport and swift communication especially with double ups when one is running late.
I have personally received a lot of support when getting lost due to post code which are not specific to the location being visited.

Aug 2, 2024Anne Marie came and did our 6 monthly review. We were able to discuss things in a helpful way and she tries to accomadate our needs including earlier a later visit for our son's wedding. The carers are all very good.

Jul 19, 2024I have worked for bluebird for a year now and could not recommend them enough. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, very up to date with training and refreshers to ensure we’re up to date with policies and procedures. Very flexible around my childcare, and understanding when unexpected situations arise. They care a lot about customers and work well with them and their families.
I have really enjoyed my time at bluebird so far and look forward to the years to come!
